i bought hmb today and i heard it burns fat. i dont think it raises metabolism because it helps gain muscle also. please answer back. i want a solid answer.
I mean if i did enough cardio excersise today to lose 2lbs would it show on the weighing scales straight after the workout? Or does it take a few days?
Today a trainer at the gym told me that I have to strength train before doing my cardio. He said if I reversed it, I’d be destroying my muscles. Other trainers have never told me that it’s bad to do cardio then strength training and I read somewhere that if you want to improve your cardio health and lose weight that you should cardio then strength train and if you want to build muscle you should flip that routine. I want to lose some fat (I’m 5′8″ and 140 lbs), strengthen my muscles (core in particular), and just be healthier overall. When I’ve worked out in the past, I’ve ended up lowering my body fat percentage and gaining weight because I was building muscle. Does what this trainer said make any sense? Have I been doing it all wrong?
First It burns the calories I eat today…and if they’re less than what the body needs..then it moves on to stored fat? How does it work?
I’ve heard that you go in “starvation mode” (metabolic slowing down) if the body doesn’t receive the needed calories per day…so how do I prevent that?
I was reading a question earlier today and someone said that they burn 1000-1300 calories a day on a treadmill. I have a similar routine. Well anyways he was wondering why he wasnt getting great results in his abdominal love handle region. The people who answered him said it was probally because he was taking in enough calories. I didnt think that makes any sense and wanted to see what you guys thought. My thought that its more of a time thing and he just has to keep it up. I just wanted to hear your thoughts. Thanks
I need to lose weight, My question is would I lose more weight if i smoked regular or menthol?
I’m 26 years old, 5′7″, 182 (as of today), 28.5 BMI. I go to the gym about 4-5 times a week. Rather than alternate cardio and weights, I do both every day focusing on certain muscle groups at a time allowing other to recup. I’m trying to burn more fat while build muscle, but with all of this confusion as to what heart-rate groups (i.e., fat burning vs cardio) is better, I’m not sure which one to focus on.
I tore my acl playing football in high school and ever since then, I’ve gained a little fat on my legs and butt. I really want to go back to being the skinny me I used to be.
Any suggestions? Swimming is out of the option btw, because I don’t have a pool nearby.
What about high intensity interval training? Does that work? Please help! I want to start today and be skinny again!
