WARNING!!! Weight loss products containing ephedra can be LETHAL for teenagers and people who have heart conditions or high blood pressure. At a more basic level, diet pills and fat burners only provide short-term results -- if they work at all. Have you seen the Hydroxycut commercials where people have lost 20, 30, even 40 pounds and look so much better? If you read the fine print in the captions, it says they were also on a strict 2,000 calorie per day diet combined with regular exercise.
The problem with diet pills and diet plans is people get tricked into thinking that they can make temporary changes in their eating and exercise habits, lose the weight, and keep it off. Not true. 99% of the people who use diet pills or quick-weight-loss diet plans gain all the weight back -- with interest -- once they go back to their old ways. You've probably heard it hundreds of times before, but I'll say it again: Eating better and getting regular exercise are the only proven ways to lose weight and keep it off.
If you want to lose weight and keep it off permanently, you're much better off getting on an eating and exercise plan you can do forever without having to cook exotic meals and give up everything you love. Two good plans are the South Beach Diet and The Abs Diet. If you keep looking to pills and potions for weight loss, your weight is going to yo-yo up and down for the rest of your life.

Lipodrene is a scam like all the rest and the FDA ban was lifted Oct.2005 on ephedrine but they just banned it again.I just got some from DPSNutrition.net.Hurry up because once it's gone it's gone.Look for D&E pharmaceuticals Super Caps with Ephedra.Try writing to the company that markets Lipodrene and ask where you can find the test results of their so called clinical tests.I guarante they won't even respond to you because the tests are not double blind, controlled, placebo or peer reviewed. And it still says must be used with any sensible diet and exercise program.Which would circumvent the need for it anyway. That's what makes their clinical tests such a scam.Because they do have people exercise and control their diet which indicates lack of a control group and nullifies the test results.

Ephedra can kill you.
Ephedra is an herb used in dietary supplements sold as weight-loss aids and energy boosters that have been associated with serious health problems, including hypertension, irregular heartbeat, strokes and seizures. Some of those problems resulted in death or injury in previously healthy people.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has compelling data showing that ephedra poses serious and unreasonable health risks to consumers. To date, the FDA says that at least 100 deaths have been linked to the use of ephedra. Other studies reveal that risks from the use of ephedra far outweigh any benefits
From January 1993 through October 2000, the FDA received 1,398 reports of adverse events linked to herbal supplements containing ephedra, including 81 deaths, 32 heart attacks, 62 reports of cardiac arrhythmia, 91 reports of hypertension, 69 strokes, and 70 seizures. Complaints about herbal supplements containing ephedra constituted 42 percent of all dietary supplement complaints and 59 percent of all reported deaths.
A comprehensive report appearing in the March 26, 2003 issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association, links the use of ephedra with risks of heart, psychiatric, and gastrointestinal problems, while finding insufficient evidence to support its use to enhance athletic performance, or to promote long-term weight loss.
According to an analysis released by the Annals of Internal Medicine in February, products containing ephedra accounted for 64% of all adverse reactions to herbal products reported to the American Association of Poison Control Centers in 2001. The researchers calculated relative risks for an adverse reaction to ephedra compared with other herbs in the database and found huge (100-fold or more) increases in risk for those taking ephedra.
The American Medical Association has called for ephedra's removal from the marketplace. In addition, a host of other organizations representing athletes, including the International Olympic Committee, the National Football League, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, have already banned ephedra's use among their members and players.
The Feb. 17 death of Baltimore Orioles pitcher Steve Bechler has focused new attention on the dangers of ephedra. Bechler, 23, died of heatstroke after a spring-training practice.http://www.lifescript.com/channels/well_…http://www.neighborhood-heart-watch.org/…http://www.nmafaculty.org/news/ephedra.h…http://www.consumersunion.org/supplement…
